Chairman of the Executive Board of Krea Real Estate
Hakan Kodal has been the Chairman of the Executive Board of Krea Real Estate since 2006. Krea Real Estate and management team have more than 15 years of real estate development and investment experience, and with the investments of the Bosphorus Real Estate Fund established by Merrill Lynch GPI and Krea Real Estate, the company has completed more than $ 1.5 billion worth of projects to date. At the same time, he undertook the Founding Chairman position of Turkey’s four leader professional associations in retail and real estate. These associations are the Council Of Shopping Centers – Turkey (AYD), The Association of Real Estate and Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER), Istanbul Shopping Fest Organization and The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Turkey, respectively. Hakan Kodal was the General Manager of Yapı Kredi Koray Real Estate Investment Trust between 1997-2006. Prior to 1997, he held various positions in corporate finance and management consultancy at Garanti Investment Bank and at the Paris office of Coopers & Lybrand. Hakan Kodal holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a master’s degree in business administration from Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Paris.
